Feral, unchained, bold and burning.
Passion builds. Desires churning.
.
.
.
I held a knife to my throat. It seemed dull at the time.
She was sharp as a razor – I thought I’d be fine.
She stole my heart. Turned it to dust.
Pretended to want me, then slaughtered my trust.
Brought me to my knees. Crushed what little remained.
Once resilient and whole. Once strong and untamed.
She cut me so deeply, the wound wouldn’t show.
No warning, no blood, just a quick little blow.
It was all that it took to end me right there.
Her sinuous hands, so tender. So fair.
That first deadly kiss is what made me her fool.
A pawn in her game. A meaningless tool.
Even after I’d saved her and allowed her to stay,
her ties to another would make her heart sway.
There is one thing I’ve gained - a hard lesson learned.
You never forget whom for which you once burned.
The gravest fate to all man is not sent from above.
The poison that kills us, is simply called love.
Passion builds. Desires churning.

This is fantastic, I really love the rhythm of it. The woman described actually reminds me a little of one of my own characters, which made this an even more interesting read.
