|My Little Derpy Place!|

From afar, our eyes meet. We exchange fake smiles.
We are face to face. Our fingers touch too late. Already cold.
O’ sister of mine, how you torture me from within your prison of glass.
I speak and you mimic my words.
I shout and you grow ever more furious.
I cry. You cry with me.
If I die, will you die too?
The question remains. You beseech me to pursue the challenge.
You know the consequences.
Do not ignore me, Sister.

A quest she endures to find her heart's desire - a life of only summer and spring.
The winter snow burns her fair skin but she endures, longing for the sun.
She carries forth - even as water hardens into ice - with auburn curls and strands of pearls swaying in the wind.
She must be strong. She must be brave.
She remembers the rose that once called to her as a young lass, it’s velvet petals soft to touch, it’s vibrant color mirroring her locks.
Now only thorns grow in this barren land, the cold lay waste to all.
Another rose she’ll find, she swears, before her red turns white.

Bind my hands in iron chains and throw a cloak upon me.
Am I so ugly?
We shared a mother. Once, a womb. Reflections of one another.
Hide my face from the world.
This crown I bear is one of thorns. It masks the blood beneath my brow.
My tears stained red.
Punish me for your own sins. Call me a traitor to shield your intent.
Cast a shadow on my name and conceal me from the sun. I am innocent still.

Bury me now. I will not sleep forever.
Darkness falls and the fires raise me.
A howl pierces the silence and my lips curse you.
A blazing cross burns upon my grave, it’s light resurrecting.
With a hunger that cannot be satiated - I come for you.
Leaving me for dead was your gravest mistake.
